I admit. We want Alice to love bikes as much as we do. So from the beginning, cycles of all kinds have been in the mix.
For the past few months, Alice has been determinedly striding on her balance bike to prove she’s ready for pedals.
And boy was she! It didn’t take two rounds around the block before she was off on her own. Riding a bike!
The bike we selected is an Isla. Jared did all the research, I picked the bike I thought looked tough, and we went with Alice’s favorite color pink + purple = purplish pink! I like that Isla bikes are designed by a woman who wants young riders to have the best start in cycling. And for us, starting with a balance bike worked amazingly well.
Hearing her say, “This is fun!” with the biggest smile on her face makes my heart leap.
